This week our
theme was Pilgrims. We continued to talk about what we are thankful for, or
happy to have. We made corn by painting with Legos, and then made corn from
beads. We also made turkeys out of paper plates and tp rolls, then we painted
our hands and made turkeys that way too!
We learned a
Thanksgiving Song to the tune of The Muffin Man: The Pilgrims came to America,
America, America. The Pilgrims came to America, a long long time ago. (insert:
The Pilgrims sailed on the Mayflower…They made friends with the Wampanoag… They
planted seeds and the corn grew tall…They had a great Thanksgiving feast… Happy
Thanksgiving!) Ask your little one to sing this for you with the motions we’ve
practiced. It’s very cute.
Finally, we
made a House from the letter H, our newest letter. We also cut out a pink
circle. Everyone is getting so good with scissors!
