This week our
theme was Winter Holidays. We read our Scholastic magazines and learned about
lots of different holiday helpers.
We made
gingerbread men and then “lost” them and had to go on a hunt to find them. We practiced graphing and sequencing with steps on how to make a gingerbread man ie. mixing, baking, and decorating. Then
we practiced patterns with gingerbread men.
We also made
x-mas play dough. It was so fun! We practiced our “I am a Scientist” poem again
and talked about how we had to measure and mix all the ingredients to make the
play dough. We couldn’t just leave it in a big pile and magically it would
become playdough.
Finally, we
learned that C is for cotton.
